Translate-a-thon in Grenoble

Sunday, April 13 (from 14 to 18) the first marathon of changes in the city of Grenoble (France) will take place, dedicated to the translation of Wikipedia entries by the French version to the Italian one. The articles worked on will be just those relating to Grenoble and its surroundings, which are currently lacking or incomplete on Italian language Wikipedia. A translate-a-thon , marathon of translation, is a live event limited in time and space, in which a group of Wikipedians dedicated to the translation of some entries on other language editions than their own. Why promote it to Grenoble? The referent of the initiative, Patafisik, said: "I realized that in the face of a flock of Italian speakers (of first, second or third generation) and Italian language student, there are only a few items on it.wiki about the city. Then why not entice Grenoble Italians to translate the French voices to it.wiki, as an excuse to bring them closer to the universe of Wikipedia (and as a real improvement in the Italian language Wikipedia)?". The event, organized with the support of Wikimedia Italia and hosted by the WikiPermanence of the Cabale à la noix (the group of Wikipedians of Grenoble), is open to all: French native speakers, Italian native speakers and polyglots, experts or newbies of Wikipedia. In addition, you can help even at a distance: in fact, the marathon will take place simultaneously on the wikis in French and Italian language. In the event page you will find the list of items to work on, the contacts of the promoters, the directions to the place and finally it is possible to signal your participation.
