News in brief
(Note: in the translated version only the news regarding Italy are shown)
- Italian law by decree 179/2012 dated 18.10.2012, already in force, establishes the obligation for schools to adopt textbooks in digital or mixed format from the school year 2013/2014 (2014/2015 for primary schools). We do not know at the time what are the prospects for the adoption of free digital content, but this law might be a good boost for Wikibooks, Wikiversity and Wikisource.
Errata
In the last issue of Wikimedia News we mentioned among the beneficiaries of the project Archeowiki the Archaeological Museum of Varese instead of Civic Archaeological Museum of Castelleone, Cremona, which is the actual beneficiary.
