Actual issue

Actually in the Podcast creation page there is not a standard way to pick a Free Cultural Works license.

Proposed solution

For authors, add the ability to pick a Free Cultural Works license for a podcast.

Dear Voxnest,

I'm $GinoPina, from the board of Wikimedia Italia. I represent a local chapter related to the Wikimedia Foundation, a (501) foundation promoting Free knowledge to human beings.

Wikipedia generates ~22 billion visitors, every year; people contribute to it because it is a project open to collaboration and made to stay.

I am writing to you because we believe your podcasting platform, Spreaker, has had, like Wikipedia, an huge impact on how people cooperate to distribute audio contents on the Internet.   

Over the years, large companies such as YouTube in 2012 and Flickr (in ???) partially embraced Wikipedia's philosophy, allowing their authors to release their work under many Free Cultural Work licenses.[2][3][4]

So, we are available to discuss on how the Spreaker platform could contribute to this revolution: for example, giving journalists, museums, cultural associations, institutions, whistleblowers, non-profit organizations, web-radios the chance to publish their work under a free license, will allow them to spread it faster and more meaningfully, freeing them from the hassle of explicitly obtaining written authorizations, as it is often been the case.

Thus, we will remain at your disposal on how contribute to this vision.

   Border Radio è una webradio che promuove la cultura copyleft e l'utilizzo delle licenze libere. Nel lavoro quotidiano, diffondiamo i nostri lavori e podcast attraverso diverse piattaforme di podcasting, incluso Spreaker. Ci piacerebbe poter comunicare anche agli utenti di Spreaker che i nostri contenuti sono rilasciati con licenze libere, oltre a sensibilizzare la comunità e la piattaforma stessa sull'importanza di garantire l'utilizzo e la possibilità di adottare le licenze Creative Commons.
